Our Mission

You Got Flowers’ mission is to bring hope and happiness, and to improve the emotional health of those in healthcare facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, shelters, assisted living and senior centers. We are dedicated to delivering beautiful, repurposed flowers skillfully arranged into stunning bouquets to those members of our communities, aiming to brighten their day and create moments of genuine joy. Through this simple act of kindness, we strive to transform their living environments into spaces filled with warmth, love, and a sense of community. We aim to spread joy and uplift the spirits of those who need it most. This act of compassion not only impacts those members of our community but also fosters a powerful ripple effect uniting donors, volunteers, families, neighbors, businesses, and recipients in a shared experience of kindness and humanity.

How It Works:

Concept:

Instead of letting freshly cut flowers go to waste, these blooms are collected and repurposed into stunning bouquets, bringing joy and beauty to various settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, shelters, and senior centers.

  • Collection: We partner with florists, grocery stores, event planners to collect their generously donated flowers.
  • Sorting and Arranging: We skillfully pick, choose, and arrange flowers into beautiful bouquets.
  • Distribution: We deliver the bouquets to healthcare centers, hospitals, nursing homes, shelters, and senior centers.
  • Sustainability: Any flowers that are not suitable for bouquets can be composted, further reducing waste and promoting sustainability.

Benefits:

  • Community Well-Being: Brings joy and comfort to individuals who may be going through difficult times, enhancing their emotional well-being.
  • Volunteer Engagement: Provides opportunities for community members to get involved and contribute to a positive cause.
  • Environmental Impact: Reduces the amount of organic waste that ends up in landfills, thus lowering greenhouse gas emissions from decomposition.
  • Awareness and Education: Raises awareness about waste reduction and sustainability while promoting the benefits of reusing resources.
